Year 12 unequivocally is my most hectic, fun and challenging year! As I set sail in my final year of high school, I was undoubtedly hit by countless of waves –big or small. Once my journey came to an end, I was proud to have sailed through those waves as it had brought me many invaluable lessons and life-long friends! It was worth it!
– Meichou

Meichou found her biggest challenge studying at a Victorian government school was self-doubt. Not only did she want to strive to achieve her own goals, she also had the immense pressure from her parents back home in Cambodia. Through her uncertainty, she never lost sight of the unconditional support that has been there since she started her international student journey since year 7.

Meichou feels forever grateful to have the supportive teachers and amazing friends by her side. Her school’s wellbeing team played an integral part in helping her navigate life at Keysborough Secondary College. Due to Keysborough Secondary College’s support team, Meichou found the drive to chase after her dreams and to believe in herself!

Parent Testimonial of a 2024 Year 12 Graduate

Dear Sir/Madam,

As parents, we entrust our children to schools with the hope that they will not only gain knowledge but also grow into confident, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals. Over the past two years, it has been a privilege to see how our son, Bill, has gained knowledge and flourished under your guidance.

The unwavering commitment of the teachers and staff to his academic and personal growth has been truly inspiring. Whether it was through patiently guiding him in his studies, encouraging his passions, or offering a listening ear when he faced challenges, each of you played a significant role in shaping his high school journey.

Without support from all of you, my son would not have achieved and completed his high school. All supportive activities and moments have left a lasting impression on Bill and on us as a family.
Please convey my deepest gratitude to all who have supported my son on this journey. Your hard work and care have made a profound difference in his life, and for that, we will always be thankful.

With warm regards and heartfelt appreciation,
Chhenglay LENG
